Anhui Xinhong Chemical Co., Ltd. is located at No. 5 Ecological Avenue, Panji Economic Development Zone (Anhui Huainan Modern Coal Chemical Industry Park), Pingwei Town, Panji District, Huainan City, Anhui Province, Longgang Third Road, Binjiang Economic Development Zone, Chunjiang Town, Xinbei District, Changzhou, is engaged in the research and development, production and marketing of vitamin product folic acid (VB9). Currently, we boast an annual production capacity of 300 tons, have 65 employees in total, cover an area of 25,000 ㎡, and own RMB 326,909,090,000 yuan of fixed assets.

Before 2011, we used intermittent process and open devices to produce pteridine glutamic acid (folic acids), which had such shortcomings as high production costs and large amount of discharge of “three wastes”. In a principle of “Safety, Energy-saving, Emission-reduction, Consumption Reduction, Efficiency Increasing”, we, on the basis of having fully considered great demand in domestic and foreign markets, wide application fields, obvious competition advantages and other favorable factors, as well as feasibility survey and demonstration, invested RMB 15 million in building the 300 tons/ pteridine glutamic acid (folic acids) project on the reserved plot, achieving folic acid synthesis and refining with automation and purification methods. Now, the project has been completed and put into production.

Xinhong brand folic acid has a scientific quality management system. During the entire production process from raw material acceptance to product shipment and marketing, all the circles are strictly controlled to ensure product quality. We were certified by ISO9001:2008 in 2004; then the ISO14001:2004 Environmental Management System, FAMI-QS and Halal and Kosher in 2009. We won the certificate of Jiangsu Private Science and Technology Enterprise in November 2014; the provincial and municipal high-tech product identification certificates in December; and the certificate of ISO22000 Food Safety Management System certification in December 2015.

We also have a special R&D department composed of 26 technicians. From the beginning of 2012 till now, the department has invented eight utility model patents. Xinhong brand folic acid is made with unique process; the quality can meet different customers’ different requirements; it is in line with national standards for food additives and feed additives respectively as well as the latest quality standard of the European Pharmacopoeia, the British Pharmacopoeia, and the USA Pharmacopoeia. About 80% of the products are exported to Europe, America and other countries and regions and the product quality is deeply trusted by customers.

Folic acid is a chemical compound composed of three ammonia pyrimidine sulfate, para aminobenzoic acid acyl glutamic acid, etc. and is a water-soluble B vitamin. Significant nutrition role of folic acid to human body has been affirmed as early as 1984. Lack of folic acid in human body (or other animals) may cause giant cell anemia and leucopenia, and can also lead to physical weakness, loss of appetite as well as psychotic symptoms. In addition, studies also found that folic acid is especially important for pregnant women. If lack of folic acid in the first three months of pregnancy can lead to fetal neural tube defects, thereby increasing the incidence of brain-split infants and anencephalus. Secondly, if the pregnant women often supplement folic acids, neonatal underweight, premature delivery, infant cleft palate (cleft lip) and other congenital malformations can be prevented.
